Aftercare Philosophy

 

Trillium Aftercare provides parents and guardians with a safe, comfortable and engaging space for their children after school. Aftercare is an environment where we integrate our school’s mission as well as the same model of conflict resolution. Our vision of Aftercare is a space where children are able to play, have a voice, and continue explorations they are conducting in their regular classrooms, while also providing facilitation, encouragement, and materials to investigate further areas of interest. Activities will be created around your child’s interests, the rhythms of our calendar year, and Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences (linguistic, logic-mathematical, musical, spatial, bodily kinesthetic, naturalist, interpersonal and intrapersonal). We will use play to create relationships, value diversities, and learn how to be better people.
