Afterschool Care at Trillium

Aftercare is essential for working parents who work past regular school hours. Trillium Charter School supports this need with the provision of Aftercare Monday through Friday, from release of school until 6pm. The Aftercare program accepts children from Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Because Trillium recognizes the need for care on weekdays when the school is closed, Trillium Aftercare is open most such days when school is not in session. Trillium Aftercare is sustained solely by parent tuition. Our fees have been kept within the range of comparable programs in the area. As our program grows we will explore grants and subsidies to support families on restricted incomes that require care for their children while they work. At this time we are not able to offer subsidized tuition or scholarships.

Trillium Aftercare staff provide a high quality program based on the philosophy that empowering those involved in the program will create the most desirable environment for harmony and growth. Our program offers daily activities based on the interests and ages of all participants. All activities are choice-based yet the program is operated on a schedule. The social climate of the program strives to be one that models and practices respect for all. We stay positive by reminding ourselves that accepting ourselves as "a work in progress not perfection" brings about the most favorable result. In the interest of continuity, Trillium Aftercare follows the same rules and the same model of conflict resolution that the school uses. Our program serves one to two chemical-free, low-sugar, mostly organic snacks per day. Please refer to our online Parent Handbook for detailed schedule and other information.
