Article I
Name
The name of this organization shall be called Together for Trillium (TFT).
Article II
Purpose
The purpose of this organization shall be to establish a parent and teacher organization at Trillium Charter School to support, teachers, staff, and parents in order to assure the success of the school. TFT will fulfill its mission by:
- Actively striving to meet teacher and staff needs and requests;
- Encouraging and arranging volunteer activities;
- Providing support and resources for the parents of Trillium students;
- Offering scholarships for activity fees and other requests; and
- Providing social and community-building activities for the Trillium community.

Article III
Membership
All parents and guardians with students attending the school, and all staff employed by the school shall be considered general members. General members have the right to attend and participate in all meetings and activities of the organization, to vote on all issues before the membership, and hold elected offices. All students currently enrolled in the school shall be considered Student Members. Student members have the right to attend and participate in all meetings and activities of the organization, to vote on all issues before the membership and to hold the elected Student Representative office.

Dues
No dues shall be charged.
Article V
Organization
The TFT shall be comprised of an elected leadership team, standing and/or appointed committees and the general body.
Article VI
Leadership Team
The Leadership team shall be comprised of elected officers. These officers shall be a President, a Co-President, a Communications Specialist, a Treasurer, a Volunteer Coordinator, a Teacher Representative, a Board Representative, a Student Representative and up to six members at Large. The position of members at large should be spread though the grade levels, reflecting the student population.
President shall
- Set schedule, create agenda and facilitate all TFT meetings
- Be an ex officio member of all TFT committees
- Coordinate Work of the Leadership Team and TFT committees in order that objectives may be achieved.
- Maintain communication with staff and Board
Co-President shall
- In absence of the president assume all duties of that office
- Perform duties as needed
Communications Specialist shall
- Record and publish all TFT meeting minutes
- Prepare materials to advertise TFT events
- Prepare monthly newsletter article for school newsletter
Treasurer shall
- Have custody of all TFT funds
- Keep an accurate account of all receipts and expenditures
- Present a statement of account at all TFT meetings
- Develop and maintain policies regarding expenditure of all TFT funds.
Volunteer Coordinator shall
- Coordinate the efforts of the members at large in recruiting and organizing parents from each class for teacher-requested volunteer opportunities.
- Recruit volunteers for TFT events and functions
Teacher Representative shall
- Maintain communication between staff and TFT
Board Representative shall
- Maintain communication between Trillium Board and TFT
The Student Representative shall
- Maintain communication between Trillium Board and TFT
Members at Large shall
- Maintain communication within their respective grade levels
- Serve as a liaison between the teacher and the other parents in their respective grade level with regard to volunteer needs.
- Help coordinate TFT sponsored activities and events

A minimum of 2 general membership meetings shall be held during the school year. The President or Leadership team may call additional general membership meetings at any time. Except in an emergency, at least three days notice shall be given to the membership. An annual meeting of the general membership meeting will be held during the school year in October. In addition to general TFT business its purpose will be to elect Leadership Team members for the school year.
Those members present at general membership meetings or leadership team elections shall be considered a quorum and be entitled to take action on behalf of the organization.
Article VIII
Committees
In order to carry out the work of the TFT and to achieve its mission, the president or Leadership team may appoint committees.
Article IX
By-Laws
These By-Laws may be amended at any General Membership meeting of the organization by a two-thirds vote of those in attendance.
